A true giant! ️ At Wortelboer, we are proud owners of the one and only POOL TW anchor. Weighing no less than , kg, this impressive piece of steel is comparable to roughly four elephants! From selecting certified materials to assembly and welding, it has been produced with great care and attention to detail. The anchor, together with chains and components, will be transported to the client using trucks. A great project we are proud of! — Wat een gigant! ️ Bij Wortelboer zijn we de trotse eigenaar van het enige echte POOL TW anker. Met een gewicht van maar liefst . kg is dit monster te vergelijken met ongeveer vier olifanten! Van het selecteren van gecertificeerd materiaal tot het samenstellen en lassen: het is met zorg en oog voor detail geproduceerd. Uiteindelijk gaat dit anker, samen met kettingen en componenten, verdeeld over vrachtwagens richting de klant. Een mooi project waar we trots op zijn!

Ready for launch! ️ On behalf of Wortelboer, Michel and Lucas attended the launch of the MPV Greta C at Royal T Shipyards . We delivered the POOL TW anchors and corresponding chain cables for this project. Great to see everything come together on the water. A successful day! — Ready for launch! ️ Michel en Lucas waren namens Wortelboer aanwezig bij de tewaterlating van de MPV Greta C bij Royal T Shipyards . Voor dit project mochten wij de POOL TW ankers en bijbehorende kettingen leveren. Mooi om te zien hoe onze producten uiteindelijk hun plek vinden op het water. Een geslaagde dag!

From nuts and bolts… to , m² filled with anchors and chain cables. Did you know we have been active in the maritime industry for more than years? ️ Our story goes back to the early s, when Gerard Wortelboer started selling high-quality nuts and bolts. When Ruud Wortelboer joined the company, it grew into a true father-and-son business, and the focus shifted to anchors and chain cables. We began in Rotterdam, at the Eemhavenstraat and moved to the Quarantaineweg in the early s, where we are still based today. A yard of , m², filled with anchors, chain cables and everything that comes with it. Today, the next generation is at the helm, and we are still very much a family business. With the same down-to-earth mentality, expertise and / service. Because shipping does not stop at pm. And neither do we. — Van bouten en moeren… naar . m² vol ankers en kettingen. Wist je dat we al meer dan jaar actief zijn in de maritieme sector? ️ Onze geschiedenis gaat terug naar begin jaren ’, toen Gerard Wortelboer startte met de verkoop van kwaliteitsbouten en -moeren. Toen Ruud Wortelboer aansloot, groeide het bedrijf uit tot een echt vader-zoonbedrijf en werd de focus verlegd naar ankers en kettingen. Wat begon in Rotterdam aan de Eemhavenstraat, verhuisde begin jaren ’ naar de Quarantaineweg, waar we vandaag de dag nog steeds gevestigd zijn. Een terrein van . m², gevuld met ankers, kettingen en alles wat daarbij hoort. Inmiddels staat de volgende generatie aan het roer en zijn we nog altijd een familiebedrijf. Yesterday, we celebrated a wonderful milestone. Our colleague Peter has been with Wortelboer for no less than years! Over the years, Peter has been invaluable to our company through his dedication, craftsmanship, and loyalty. He has witnessed change, experienced growth, and has become a familiar face for many as well as a trusted source of knowledge and experience. Peter’s extensive expertise in anchors and chain cables makes him a valuable asset to our team. We marked this special occasion with presents and a celebratory lunch. Peter, thank you for everything you’ve contributed to Wortelboer. We’re proud that you have been a member of our team for so long already and look forward to what’s still to come!

Deborah Touwslager is leaving our team to embark on a wonderful new adventure. After almost years at Wortelboer, we say goodbye to a colleague who has contributed enormously to our growth, our relationships and the way we work together. Thank you, Deborah, for your commitment, energy, and all the great moments along the way.
