From Rotterdam to the cruise terminal of Marseille! Our colleagues Davey and Francesco hit the road again to install an anchor on site. It remains one of the best parts of our job: getting out there, heading into the port, and making sure everything fits perfectly. ️ Whether we’re working in our home port of Rotterdam or along the French coast, delivering our products this way ourselves always feels great. On to the next job! — Van Rotterdam naar de cruise terminal van Marseille! Onze collega’s Davey en Francesco zijn weer op pad gegaan om een anker op locatie te installeren. Het blijft een van de mooiste onderdelen van ons werk: de weg op, de haven in en zorgen dat alles weer perfect op zijn plek hangt. ️ Of we nu in onze eigen Rotterdamse haven aan de slag zijn of aan de Franse kust, het is altijd mooi om onze producten op deze manier zelf af te leveren. Whether it’s connecting with clients around the world, travelling for on-site fittings, or tackling technical challenges in our own ship yard: that variety keeps us sharp! In the end, it all comes down to a shared passion for the craft and getting the job done together. — Geen dag is hetzelfde bij ons in de haven! Omdat ieders functie weer net even anders is, heeft iedereen ook een eigen favoriet onderdeel van het werk. Contact met klanten wereldwijd, reizen voor een fitting op locatie of de technische uitdagingen op onze eigen erf: die afwisseling houdt ons lekker scherp! Uiteindelijk draait het simpelweg om de passie voor het vak en het samen klaren van de klus.

Onze sportiefste collega Peter de Jeu staat morgen weer aan de start van de Marathon van Rotterdam. Een opwarmertje voor hem, in mei loopt hij (weer) een triatlon namelijk. Na een jaar met blessures gaat hij er gewoon weer voor, zijn motivatie en doorzettingsvermogen is bewonderenswaardig! We wensen je heel veel succes en natuurlijk ook veel plezier. Zet hem op, wij juichen voor je! =============================================== Our most athletic colleague Peter de Jeu will soon be at the starting line of the Rotterdam Marathon. Just a warm-up for him, because in May he will be competing in a triathlon! What a determination and motivation - a true inspiration to us all. We wish you the very best of luck and lots of fun during this amazing challenge. Go for it and we will be cheering for you, as always!

What makes this anchor particularly unique is its fully balanced design and high holding capacity. Thanks to this balance, it always returns to the correct position when being retrieved. The flat top side also ensures the anchor fits perfectly against the hull of the vessel, allowing it to be neatly and efficiently stowed in the anchor pocket. POOL anchors are available in various designs, such as the POOL KM anchor, POOL N anchor and POOL YM anchor: specifically developed for yachts! At Wortelboer, we are proud owners of this unique design and supply anchors ranging from kg up to an impressive , kg. — Wat is nu eigenlijk een POOL anker? ️ Een goede vraag! Dit type anker is een echte krachtpatser en staat bekend als een 'High Holding Power' anker. Wat dit anker extra bijzonder maakt, is dat het volledig gebalanceerd is en een hoge houdkracht heeft. Doordat het een volledig gebalanceerd anker is, komt hij altijd in de juiste positie boven. Omdat de bovenkant mooi vlak is, sluit het anker ook nog eens perfect aan tegen de romp van het schip. Hij kan zo ook mooi worden binnengetrokken in een anchor pocket. A true giant! ️ At Wortelboer, we are proud owners of the one and only POOL TW anchor. Weighing no less than , kg, this impressive piece of steel is comparable to roughly four elephants! From selecting certified materials to assembly and welding, it has been produced with great care and attention to detail. The anchor, together with chains and components, will be transported to the client using trucks. A great project we are proud of! — Wat een gigant! ️ Bij Wortelboer zijn we de trotse eigenaar van het enige echte POOL TW anker. Met een gewicht van maar liefst . kg is dit monster te vergelijken met ongeveer vier olifanten! Van het selecteren van gecertificeerd materiaal tot het samenstellen en lassen: het is met zorg en oog voor detail geproduceerd. Uiteindelijk gaat dit anker, samen met kettingen en componenten, verdeeld over vrachtwagens richting de klant. Een mooi project waar we trots op zijn!
